Description

 

This subject introduces the learner to both source and application of Health and Safety law for construction site safety and related construction safety activity. The learner is introduced to the key principles of construction site safety management which underpin the management of risk in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Outline the main requirements for the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act  and for  the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.

2.

Identify a wide range of risk factors in the construction workplace that lead to incidents and accidents.

3.

Identify and apply relevant control measures that demonstrate continual improvement for the management of risk.

4.

Identify key considerations that promote a positive health and safety culture on site.

5.

Complete the Safe Pass Program
