The module will introduce the students to the salient and important areas of law that operate in the field of civil engineering and civil engineering projects.. The fundamental areas of both contractual and tortious liability are introduced and expanded further to include the law relating to construction and engineering projects.Key legislative provisions that affect the construction industry is also considered. It is intended that this module will provide students with sufficient legal knowledge to identify legal problems and create an awareness of where legal expertise may need to be sought.
