HRM08013 2022 Employee Learning and Talent Development
This subject aims to provide students with a firm grounding in the current theory and practice of employee learning and talent development. In addition, students will develop practical skills in coaching, learning design, delivery and evaluation, and talent development.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;
Evaluate a range of theories & concepts related to individual & organisational learning.
Create a talent development plan.
Create and deliver a learning event for a business-related topic
Conduct, observe and provide feedback for a one to one business coaching session.
Describe and critically evaluate the role of evaluation within learning and talent development.
Teaching and Learning Strategies
Effective teaching and learning strategies will evolve as the module is delivered. However, it is expected that lectures (live, virtual, and/or recorded), practical skills workshops, videos, guest speakers, group work, problem-based learning, and peer review will be core to this module. The application and practice of skills will be a core teaching and learning strategy of this module.
Module Assessment Strategies
100% continuous assessment which may be any of the following: practical skills assessment (live/recorded/virtual), group project, presentation (recorded/live or virtual), role play, open-book exam or essay, multiple choice quiz, case study. Demonstration of practical skills will be a core assessment strategy of this module.

Repeat assessment will be developed to align with failed components
