ENVR07038 2019 Environmental Issues
This module investigates national and global environmental issues and explores the relevance of these issues through various threads of enquiry including human population, sustainability, global perspective, urban world, people and nature, and science and values.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;
Discuss the significance of environmental issues at various levels (individual/organisational/sectoral)
Identify the role of various environment-related government and non- government organizations
Demonstrate an understanding of various national and global environmental issues
Work effectively in an enquiry-centred team activity to present salient aspects of environmental issues
Assess, evaluate, organise and communicate information on environmental issues that overarch global sustainability in an accurate and effective manner.
Teaching and Learning Strategies
This module will be delivered part-time. This will include online lectures and workshops augmented by independent learning and direct learning. Virtual learning environment will be used as repository of educational resources and as a means of assessment (e.g. quizzes, uploading assignments).

This module is 100% continuous assessment.
Module will be assessed using a combination of continuous assessment.
Continuous assessment and course work will comprise regular summative tests to encourage engagement with the module, monitor progress, provide feedback and examine the learning process.
