Description

This module provides the student with core practical and theoretical skills and competencies in virtualisation. As part of this module the students will learn how to create, configure & manage a virtualised infrastructure.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Analyse and understand the virtualisation architecture and the components that are part of a modern enterprise environment

2.

Install, configure and optomise a hypervisor architecture

3.

Implement a server virtualisation infrastructure

4.

Monitor and maintain a server virtualisation infrastructure

Teaching and Learning Strategies

Teaching and Learning will encompass inquiry based learning

Module Assessment Strategies

Assessment will be done by both MCQ based on the Microsoft 74-409 Server virtualisation with Windows Server Hyper-V and Systems Center and practical exams on Server Machines to test the students ability to implement and manage a Virtualisation Infrastructure

Repeat Assessments

A repeat practical assessment will be provided
