Description

This course provides students with ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.

•Provides an in-depth, theoretical overview of advanced routing, switching and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks

•Builds on existing networking knowledge with more complex network configurations, diagnosis, and troubleshooting

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

Plan and design a complex entrerprise LAN and WAN routing and switching solution

2.

Implement, monitor and maintain routing and switching services in an enterprise campus network.

Implement secure routing and switching solutions to support a complex campus network

Perform network troubleshooting using technology-based processes and best practices, based on systematic and industry recognised approaches

Teaching and Learning Strategies

This course provides an in-depth, theoretical overview of advanced routing and switching and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks
 
Students gain significant hands-on interaction with networking equipment to prepare them for certification exams and career opportunities
 
Hands-on labs and case studies help students apply what they learn and develop critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
 

For On-line an additional 1.5hr is required to support student enquiries, online lecture setup, emails.
