COMP08009 2022 E-business and Innovation
This module is designed to help students appreciate the world of electronic commerce, (eCommerce), appreciate its strategic value to an economy/business, identify the factors underpinning the sector and analyse its different eCommerce models.
Students will also examine the legal aspect of eCommerce and its many ethical considerations.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;
Identify the strategic value of eCommerce to the economy/businesses
Comprehend the driving forces underpinning eCommerce
Identify the key components of an eCommerce Model and Strategy
Differentiate between the different eCommerce models, B2B, B2C and B2G etc and analyse their application
Recognise and evaluate the ethical and legal issues surrounding eCommerce
Teaching and Learning Strategies
This module will involve four hour student contact. Primarily two hours class based and a further two in computer labs.
